these have been defined in TCA settings - in this case you find them 
from ...sysext/cms/ folder

just make a small extension and reset TCA.
No nice but works - unfortunately there is no TS for that.

BTW. I made for pixe_feediting TypoScript setup for forms, which are 
used in the mode 'Forms on page' - so no extra plugin is not needed. 
Maybe that could be proposed for backend fields too?
