[TYPO3] eu_ldap - Unable to search ldap server

Hello all, 

 

I recently installed the eu_ldap extension and don't believe I am
configuring it correctly. I have several questions regarding this
extension and if anyone has any thoughts, that would be greatly
appreciated. I have tried various configurations of the set up and have
received several different responses:

 

1)       Is there any TypoScript that goes along with this? I don't have
any set up

2)       One particular set up displays a white screen that says "Unable
to search ldap server". 

3)       Another set up shows the proper information but does not
display any users. I searched the archives and saw some less restrictive
filters but even those don't show any users. 

 

I suppose the overall question is, out of 2 or 3, which error is closer
to having a correct set up and what do I need to do to fix it?
