There have been already several versions of 2.5.6. It does not make
sense to keep a version with too many errors in the TER. There is no
possibility any more on TER to delete a version from there like it has
been in former days. The only possibility to prevent users from using a
version with too many errors is to relaunch it under the same version
and overwrite the former buggy code.

Make a bug report on bugs.typo3.org .

We have only 3 numbers for the version of an extension. The number would
raise too high if it would be raised with every small bug fix.
Therefore I use the Beta flag as identifier when a version is not fully
tested and working. The users who need a stable extension must wait
until it is marked as 'stable'.
