[TYPO3] Statistics in Direct Mail

Hello.

Is there anybody out there that has some experience with the statistics in
Direct Mail?
I want to activate the statistics to see the bounced email-addresses.
I've searched the archive, tried the tutorial,... but I can't get it to
work.
Does anybody have a solution?

The TYPO3 version is 3.6.0 with Direct Mail 1.0.8.
Upgrading is unfortunately not an option.
