[TYPO3] Images lost in rtehtmlarea with fdfx_2cols

When I try adding images through an rtehtmlarea (1.3.7) textbox in fdfx_2cols 
(2.1.2), the image disappears upon save.

Is there a configuration issue I should be aware of?
