Hi

The YAML documentation is being translated into English, and there will
be an English section in the support forums. The author has advised me
that this is expected in November.

The typo3 implementation is very well made, and clearly structured, and
well worth investigating, especially if you are a newbie. Since you can
see the typoscript which solves quite a lot of common problems and what
it generates, it tends to make tsref considerably more comprehensible.

It can quite easily be converted to TV - mainly you just have to change
the temp.s to lib.s, map the existing html using templavoila, and change
the sub-templates to fces. (see
http://www.g7development.co.uk/yaml-tv/index.php?id=1)

However, the intention of the YAML package is not so much to be a
template as a highly structured CSS-based table-less, accessible,
multiple-browser-supporting, layout framework. You start from an
abstract layout (n columns, fixed or fluid with header and footer) which
works (i.e. has all the hacks and techniques in place), and modify it to
the layout you want.

Best Wishes

Mike Meir
