[TYPO3] Typo3 and PHP CGI

Hello,

Running PHP in CGI mode has some huge security advantages. This is most
likely the reason why your provider is taking this step. If they use
fastcgi (correctly) it can be faster in some cases than PHP as apache
module. Typo3 shouldn't give any problems.
