There is a new bugfix available from bugs.typo3.org which fixes this problem
without removing completly the characterConversion of $LANG->sL (which is required
in some places -- meaning: you will could get other problems with the quick fix)

It would also be nice if you could test if a "normal" site without forceCharset set does
still work as expected ... i tried this but who knows :)
