[TYPO3] rtehtmlarea xhtml br's

Hi List,

I hope someone can help with this because I am running out of ideas!

Basically I am trying to configure the rte to store xhtml valid breaks in
the database "<br />".

At the moment if you enter a break in the RTE and view the source they
appear as xhtml valid ones(<br />), but when you hit the save button their
then stored in the database as invalid ones "<br>", I can't think why this
is happening, I have the following line in my rte config:

proc.entryHTMLparser_db.xhtml_cleaning = 1

I have looked in the manual for the extension but I cannot see any other
configuration options which may help me get the desired output.

Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated!
