[TYPO3] migration to TYPO3 v4 + TV

Hi,

I recently installed the typo3 4 beta + a nighly TV.
I tried to populate the new installation with a pretty large site 
i am running (on 3.8.0) to have something to play around with.

The upgrade procedure described in 
http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/doc_inst_upgr/
results in a brocken a page tree and scrambled content elements.

T3D export/import seems to work but is'nt an option because 
of the site's size. (even treewise export/import)

Any ideas?
