[TYPO3] Can't access template tools

This problem is driving me crazy.  Since yesterday I reached the 
template tool exactly _one_ time.  Several dozends of tries 
resulted in a dead end.  I tried several browsers from two 
different maschines, one linux box, one windows.

Unfortunately, I was to dump to use this single event to create a 
template for my page.

Is there _any_ other possibility to link a template to my website?  
I already have created a template, but now have to tell the webpage 
to use this template.

If necessary, I will go directly into the database.  If someone can 
tell we, where to go.
