hi bernhard,

thanks for the answer and sorry for the late response, i took a few days 
off ;)

what i need is a function which makes a blurred version of every 
uploaded picture.

for example a backend user uploads a picture image.jpg. typo3 should 
make a blurred version and save it as image.blurred.jpg.

the reaon is, that my designer wants to show pictures blurred in the 
background and if active the unblurred version. the frontend is 
completly done in flash, though. i have to make sure that the blurred 
image exists, as soon as the image gets uploaded.

any ideas?
