[TYPO3] painfull management of fe_users

Hi All,

Does anybody have any tips / hints for management of large numbers of 
frontend users and frontend groups?

As it is, I am navigating (in the backend) through endless pages of 
users (2000+ and growing), either ordered by group (about 50 of them), 
or by name.

Is there any way to constrain the display to or filter the users by 
usergroup?

What do you do in general to manage large numbers of fe_users?
