[TYPO3] Reference Index table - impossible to update

Hi,
i recently installed typo3 4.0 on my machine and if i enter the backend  
module, i get the message:

"Important notice!
- The Reference Index table is empty which is likely to be the case  
because you just upgraded your TYPO3 source. Please go to Tools>DB Check  
and update the reference index.

It is highly recommended that you change this immediately."

I followed these instructions, but this seems to be without effect.  
Although i press the update now button and get this report below, nothing  
really happens. The important notice above appears again and again.
