[Typo3] fe_rtenews gives bland preview

I upgraded the installed version of the fe_rtenews extension today  
and now I just get a blank page after I click the "Preview" button.  
The source of the page is simply <html><body></body></html>. Has  
anyone else seen this problem? I guess I should have checked the  
extension release date before I upgraded. Looks like it was released  
yesterday.

What is Typo3 etiquette in this situation? Should I email the  
extension owner directly?
