[Typo3] tt_news: Wrapping AMENU-Links

hello!

i'm trying to do an archive-navigation with AMENU,
where i need to add information about the "active element".

this is implemented in the plugin.tt_news.archiveTitleCObject via a wrap 
like <a href="#"><strong>title</strong></a>.

because of CSS i rather need this wrap-info somewhere in/around the <a>-tag,
like
<a href="#"><strong>title</strong></a>
or
<a href="#" class="strong">title</a>

i've already tried different wraps inside the COA or a typolink,
but didn't suceed.

any ideas? :)
