hi

From some previous post it seems that people have tendency to teach by
"try" INSTEAD OF "read and try".

I mean some newbies still start adventure with TYPO3 from static
templates BUSINESS, GREEN and so on. One year ago I started the same and
wasted lot of time to finally realize that the way to go is MTB and FTB.

When testing different CMS a normal way to go is to see something
working as soon as possible. Nobody want to read the documentation.
Unfortunately from newbie points of view the fastest way to see self
done working TYPO3 site is to use the static templates.

What is the point? I was thinking that after choosing standard template
like BUSINNES, GREEN and so on there should be information that this is
depreciated way of using TYPO3, that this templates are here for
backward compatibility, and that the preferable way to go with TYPO3 are
MTB or FTB.

Maybe this will make some people to read the MTB before they waste their
time and lost enthusiasm to see that TYPO3 is really good CMS.
