RTE HtmlArea will probaly will be the "official" RTE of the next TYPO3 
edition "Zap the gremlins". It's your choice.

RTE configration and content transformations is one of the most complex 
chapters of typo3. Unfortunatly beginners run early into this field and 
find solutions very late. The ultimative guide to this field still waits 
to be written.
