I also "owned" a VPS at a German hosting company. They had the best 
hardware - 3GB RAM on state of the art Dell Power Edge Servers. The only 
problem was that they put 150 (yes one hundred fifty!) virtual servers 
(not virtual hosts!) on one physical machine.

Everything was so damn slow. After quitting the VPS and switching to a 
real dedicated server with lousy 512 MB RAM everything is unbelivably 
quick ;-)
