[Typo3] Indexed search results contain a lot of navigational stuff

The results from an "indexed search" invariably start with my site's
menus, which don't look so hot as plain text:
"FAQ  |  Contacto  |  Mapa  |  Home Productos y Servicios
Productos y Servicios Soluciones Partners Clientes Usuarios Seleccione
Pais Argentina Chile ... ".
Each and every result starts with this, then shows the actual relevant
data after the "...", which makes it hard to skim through. Is there any
way to get rid of the stuff before the "..."? I have looked through the
extension files and tinkered a bit, but haven't been able to figure them
out.
