[Typo3] kickstarter extension, also possible with CSS ?

Hallo,

i just followed Kaspers frontend plugin development Video. All seems 
pretty easy so far. But what I noticed is the Kickstarter produces the 
file class.user.cd_collection_pi.php. In this code tables are used.
I want to avoid those for several reasons.
Is there a CSS version of the kickstarter available ? Or is there a 
solution to this "problem". Of course I could change the code by hand. 
But this would be quite alot of work if it has to be done everytime.
