[Typo3] upgrading extensions, how to ?

I've now located my 'missing' news templates in:
 fileadmin/media/scripts

(2 sites, bi-lingual, hence, 4 templates:)
news_template_pl_con.tmpl  news_template_en_con.tmpl
news_template_pl.tmpl  news_template_en.tmpl

now, where do I edit the Typoscript to re-enable ?
in the 'main' templates ..?
