Why should any of those guys answering to all your questions during the
last days care about a project that you took over without being able to
manage it?

It does make sense to read those two 100+ page long documents AND to go
through the examples. You won´t forget what you have tried out and
*understood*.

A simple question? Does this mean 1 simple question? As far as I could
see they already answered a lot of your questions.

You expected to learn it in a week? What do you think what all the
tutorials are written for? For a system that you can use out of the box
just with a little bit of learning? When I started with Typo3 people
told me you need at least 3 months and they were right.

At least you are on the right way. You don´t have to master whole
Typoscript language to do anything but you should understand how it
works and RTFM is the first step to understanding.
