[Typo3] Domain Error resulting from page content update typo3 3.8

While updating some content on my site which involved changing some 
links. I experienced a site wide error where all the domains on this 
multi domain page tree started pointing to the domain I was working on. 
I wasn't working with domain records when this error occurred. I was 
updating some links contained in content on the page using the 
rtehtmlarea. I can't figure out why this is happening. Is this a bug or 
am I missing something.
