[TYPO3] Logical problem with condition on startpage

Hi there,

i have such a ts condition on my main template on the startpage:

[globalVar = TSFE:id=StartPageID]

	plugin.tx_myplugin_pi1.image {
			file.maxH = 11
			...
	}	

[GLOBAL]

	... set things anyways


Problem here: I can´t make kind of an "extension template" to the 
startpage itself - so i have this condition for every page on the site 
that uses the maintemplate. this must - i guess -slow down the 
processing of the page unnecessarly. Does somebody know a more beautiful 
and speedier way to do this?
