[TYPO3] JS to change font size for content

Hi all,

I want to implement a feature on a site that uses the JS elements 
getElementsByTagName and getElementsById to allow a user to click a 
button to change the size of the type in content elements.

My problem is this...I am not a programmer...I have a script that I can 
implement on a static site (I haven't tried it on a typo3 one yet), but 
I'll need some help with creating an extension and the php code required 
to add the buttons to a page as a new content element.

If possible, I would also like to create a drop down box with a few 
font-families so a user can change that as well.

I probably will look at this later this week or early January.

Would one of you who is experienced with JS and extensions be prepared 
to help me with this?
