[Typo3] curved text in navigation-menu

hi,

we have a request from a customer for a graphical navigation 
menu where the text is arranged in a curve:

 h
  i 
   s is 
       a
        menu
          item

(except that it should be in a regular curve, 
like y=1/x for positive numbers)

I told my employer that this isn't possible with gd/imagemagick (except when you
draw/rotate each character separately...), but is it possible that there's
another solution?
I know I can make it static, but a dynamic menu would be preferable.
