[Typo3] Question concerning groups

Hi All,

 

I have a question regarding groups in typo. In the frontend, users can
be part of more than one group, but unlike the backend groups can't be
part of another group. Content can only be shown to one group, or all
groups. Is there a way to circumvent this? In my situation I don't want
to give access to people, but keep people from a certain group from
viewing certain files (ie. All other groups should be allowed to view
it). This could be done very easy by making a new group, and add other
groups as members.

 

I'm still using 3.70 so if this is a function available in a later
version please let me know, than an upgrade might be the easiest. If
not, is there another solution to this problem?
