[TYPO3-dev] TYPO3 7 dependency in extensions

Hello,

If I build an extension that works on TYPO3 version 7, what should be the
upperbound of the typo3 dependency? Looking to newly released extensions in
TER, I see extensions with 7.0.99, others with 7.9.99, and even 7.99.99
sometime...

In other words, if the extension works with 7.0, can I assume it will also
work with 7.x, or should I recheck the compatibility (and release an new
version) for each new minor version of TYPO3?
