[TYPO3-dev] sys_categories: Found a bug?

Hello,

beside my question about enabling categories in own tables I found something
strange:
System is TYPO3 CMS 6.2.4, in BE all is done by an admin account.

I have created some categories and now I want to assign records to them.
I can assign as many records as I want as I select the category in the
record.
But if I open the category itself afterwards, I get an error in the "items"
field.
If no records or just one record belongs to a category all is fine.
But if there are two or more records, I always get the error and I'm not
able to save the category any more.
It doesn't help also to remove the records here from the "items" field. Even
if I remove all records/relations, the error remains.

I have now removed my own extension (having a table in it using categories),
that does not help.
The problem also exists by only have the core features/tables enabled. No
news or other third-party extension using categories.
The error is also there if I only add some page records to the categories.
And all is done using the default language (sys_language_uid =0) and without
workspaces.

I have also done an update of the ref_index, didn't help...

So, what is the problem here?
Can anyone confirm this?
