[TYPO3-dev] Migrate to FAL with internal_type = file_reference

Hi,

The Upgrade Wizzard seems to ignore referenced images (see
"file_reference" in
http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TCAReference/Reference/Columns/Group/Inde
x.html#internal-type).
At least, that was the experience I made while upgrading from v4.7 to
v6.2.
I found an issue (http://forge.typo3.org/issues/56984) on forge that was
rejected, so my questions are.

Did anyone already manage to migrate referenced images successfully?
Does a plugin exist like there are for DAM to FAL migration?
