[TYPO3-dev] Maximum FAL references in tt_content

Hi,

since I am a little stuck right now, I hope someone can help me on a little problem I currently have:

I wrote a little plugin that displays images in the frontend. For that purpose I use a standard content element (the field image to be precise). Now the user can select that CE in the backend and add multiple images within that CE - no problem so far. In the controller of the extbase plugin I use the FAL reference and everything just works fine. Except when a certain number of images is reached. When editing this CE in the backend and wanting to add more than 40 images I geht an error about "invalid security token".

I already considered (since I read it somewhere) that it may have to do something with max post size, but it doesn't. After researching a bit more I stumbled upon some configured restrictions in the TCA or somewhere else in the configuration, but TBH I have no idea where to look for and I didn't really find any hints online so far - maybe someone can help me with that?
