Hi Benjamin,

if you do it (=TYPO3) right, the server is overkill. If you do it wrong,
it will be painful slow.

It depends a lot on what functionality your intranet site offers and how
CPU/DB intense this is.

Basically I'd say that the server should be sufficient, if not very
over-dimensioned.

typo3.org runs on a machine with 4 cores and 16GB RAM.
