A definite "no!". There is already prototype, scriptaculous, ExtCore, 
ExtJS which are shipped with the core (I personally would like to have 
the first two removed).
You prefer to have a jQuery tool, others would like to have YUI, 
Mootools, Cappuccino, Dojo, Glow, GWT, MochiKit, Qooxdoo, Rialto, Rico, 
SproutCore, Spry, UIZE, ... added.

Including them in the core would mean that the core team has to keep 
track of the updates of all those libraries and possibly ship multiple 
versions...

This is an excellent thing to keep in an extension.
