Not all MySQL engines have it. Only InnoDB and NDBCLUSTER (Falcon also 
supports transactions, but it seems that development has stopped after 
Oracle acquired Sun) support transactions.

Some hosters do not supply the InnoDB engine and thus all tables use MyISAM.
