or could it be that you sold TYPO3 as your piece of software?

welcome to the world. TYPO3 needs once in a while some money to continue
to deliver such a piece of software.

be happy that we are not backed up by some large company that one day
will decide to cut expenses on their FOS budget. (Oracle/SUN)

i simply cannot undestand why this hint gave you trouble.
