It does, since "deprecated" is different to "removed".
So the functions are still available in PHP 5.3 and current TYPO3 will run perfectly on it.

Or do you run your productive environment with an activated "deprecation log" as well?

These messages are there to inform developers about upcoming removal of functions, so there is no problem yet, but there might be one with future PHP versions.
