Sounds great! Is
http://forge.typo3.org/attachments/2127/T3UXW_icon_thingy_0_9_1.pdf
still up-to-date? There are a few inconsistencies in the icons:

- actions-document-close looks very much like actions-selection-delete
and the same 'x' is used in actions-version-document-remove; in the
first case a 'x' means close, in other cases it means delete (also in
actions-document-save-close it means close)

- status-overlay-hidden indicates a hidden status, but in
actions-edit-copy-release and actions-edit-cut-release it means undo

- actions-edit-add is used also as overlay to indicate a new (or added)
items, except for actions-template-new (a black '+' in a white square is
used there)

especially the no permission, access denied, delete, hidden items are a
bit unclear to me. I'd use a red circle with a white cross ( 'x' ) to
indicate deletion, a red circle with a which bar ( '-' ) to indicate
invisible, inaccessible items, an a black cross ( 'x' ) for closing things.
apps-pagetree-drag-place-denied is an alternative for inaccessible
items, but I would not use both.

The wiki showed a "naked skin", a "retro skin" and a default skin. So, I
imagine that the new icons (and the "retro" icons) are located in the
skin and the "naked" icons in the core?
