[TYPO3-dev] Gif Builder generating the wrong image

We are running 4.2.10 and I have gone into the install tools to test and debug there as well.

1) Never hijack a thread!
2) As you run 4.2.10 it could be a problem due to safemode setting in 
php? Please check http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=12341
