[TYPO3-dev] Would you like to contribute to DBAL?

Hi,

You all know that TYPO3 is able to work with other DBMS than MySQL. We 
officially support PostgreSQL, Oracle and MSSQL. This is really great to 
have TYPO3 run on those platforms but it needs man power.

Currently I'm the only person actively working on it. A few of you, 
readers and contributors, are either reporting bugs or providing patches 
or ideas. That's great!

Extbase is becoming more and more mature and stable but currently only 
works with MySQL. Support for other DBMS should be added but I / we lack 
time for that.

Would you be interested into helping in that area? Just get in touch 
with me, there's lots of interesting topics to work on when it comes to 
databases and in the long run, we might even rethink the whole concept 
of DBAL with TYPO3.
