[TYPO3-dev] link to single custom record from anywhere?

hi everybody

it's a silly question that i thought to have read to be solved somewhere in 4.2 but i'm gettign crazy to find it again:

wasn't a feature like ch_rterecords (to link to single custom records from RTE) implemented in Core for any link browser (ie: not just RTE, but also images etc?)

how do you link for example a single views tt_news from an tt_content image in home page?
right now it is only possible using "external" absolute links. right?

i remember to have read the possibility to define with TS the default parameters (pid and action) for single views of any records, so thai it would have been easy to link to them.
