Hi folks,

If I want to get informed what is under development I search forge and I
am reading the dev list, even though I am only a quarter coder.

If I was a member of ECT and noticed that such an important EXT as
tx_categories is not developed anymore I had written
a) a mail to mads about his future plans,
b) a call for help in this list.

Now we have Georg, the busy bee, and he really does something very
useful here, which I quite well know because I had the pleasure of a
test account and watched categorize growing every day.
No offense intended, but instead of arguing whether or not Georg should
have posted in ECT, we better should all join forces to make the new
extension baby THE CATEGORY EXT in capital letters, or even better, a
sysext, as was suggested by Patrick Gaumond further up!

I am willing to contribute as much as I can, but I can only document
stuff, do some testing, and, last but not least, try to find some
sponsoring.

Please let us ensure that this time we really get what everybody needs.

Kind regards, Uschi (who is fed up with implementing a large category
tree here, there, and somewhere else and teach editors how to edit
categories for ext a, ext b, ext c)
