[TYPO3-dev] What to do with needed patches for extensions and author doesn't care

Hello,

I use the nice extension gb_bedraganddrop everywhere because it allows 
Drag 'n' Drop in the BE but with the EXT installed the label "Edit page 
properties" disappears.

I made a patch but the author doesn't react but I still would like this 
to be fixed!

What should I do?
