We use it with 190 nested domains and have no problems at the moment.
We moved from cooluri to realurl and as our site has tree structure since years we had to keep nested domains.

I just tried a RTE cross-domain link and had no problems.

What I found out is that every page containing a domain record has must have "Is Rootpage" in page options as well as Rootlevel in Template. Since then we have no problems anymore with wrong links (also mount points work well).

Do you have in mind what unsolved bugs are?
