[TYPO3-dev] IF-property in cObject IMAGE different then IMAGE.stdWrap.if ?

I know that TEXT hast itself stdWrap properties - but question is - why 
do the "if" properties differ? Shouldn't those just work the same or 
shouldn't that at least be mentioned anyhwere?
