[TYPO3-dev] Make versioning and workspaces optional in the BE

Hey guys,

as I noticed that it's quite hard for newcomers to deal with all the 
different things in the Backend, I was thinking if we could finally make 
workspaces and the versioning features a sysext for TYPO3 4.3.
I know that workspaces are coded within the core and I don't want to 
change this, don't get me wrong. But I'd love to see at least all the 
GUI features optional and only installed when wanted by the admin. 
Sounds like another step in the Cleaner Backend process, right? What do 
you think? Do you think it's possible to do this with an reasonable 
amount of work?
