It's certainly not. As Tapio hinted, the thing is that t3lib_div now 
uses PHP 5 type hints. Before you some parameters that were arrays, but 
could be ignored by passing an empty string. Now they types as array, to 
the method will not accept emptry strings anymore. You must pass an 
empty array instead.
