More in detail, you can inherit from it and do a regular overwrite of
methods, but you can't do that for foreign extensions. If you want to alter
the wraps behaviour, you typically want to do it for all, foreign and own
extensions. Modification of the core is the only option here, for example
to get rid of the wrap at all.
