Hey JoH,

Your problems remind me of the time we had to set up a Red Hat server that did
not have GD and other image libs by default and we didn't know a thing about
this stuff. Wow that was frustrating. It was a painful road getting all shit
together to run, but it did not stop me from using TYPO3. With my small amount
of developers knowledge I still recognize that the GoPHP5 initiative is
extremely important. I think it is also important to use the 4.2 alpha1 to be
able to recognize what extensions (like you mention extdeveval) do not run on
PHP5+ so this can be fixed.

Sometimes you have to suffer a bit to get the best out of something ;-) Keep up
your spirits!
