You can switch between USER_INT and USER on the fly. 

But you will have problems with the links inside the plugin and from a
second page to the plugin. For USER you need a cHash. But if you make a
cHash be default, it also works if you switch to USER_INT, so that you can
switch to and fro. But there are some drawbacks if you switch a certain
setting in the BE on.
